Nature's Rain Barrels

After this weekend's rain, I found these raindrops in my nasturtiums. The drops almost look like jewels.

  1. Lovely! Nasturtiums are some of my favorite flowers, and their foliage is much of the reason. There's a certain texture of foliage, like that of nasturtiums, or of water lotus, that makes water bead up and roll around like mercury, and the photographer in me is a great fan. :)

  2. Absolutely lovely. I never noticed it before. I'll take a closer look this year at mine. Thanks.

  3. Vertie: Very nice. It does indeed look a bit like jewels in a lovely green bowl.

  4. These nasturtium raindrop photos are stunning.

I enjoyed meeting you in person at Spring Fling. Maybe we'll see each other around!

  5. Vertie!
The GBSP was a bit overwhelming. There were several people I didnt' connect with. What an amazing w/end!

  6. Oooh, nice! Looks like a perfect bathing spot for the garden fairies. I'm going to have to try nasturiums one of these days.

  7. Vertie,

Sorry I didn't get to visit with you over the weekend, but I'll chime in on your nasturtiums. Gorgeous. I think they appeal to my Pisces nature-- look like underwater mermaid plants.

This is the first year I've grown them from seed and the two plants that made it have flourished, been blooming like mad. They make wonderful, lasting cut flowers, and smell delicious too.

    Good wishes,
