Nature's Rain Barrels

After this weekend's rain, I found these raindrops in my nasturtiums. The drops almost look like jewels.

  1. Lovely! Nasturtiums are some of my favorite flowers, and their foliage is much of the reason. There's a certain texture of foliage, like that of nasturtiums, or of water lotus, that makes water bead up and roll around like mercury, and the photographer in me is a great fan. :)

I enjoyed meeting you in person at Spring Fling. Maybe we'll see each other around!

  6. Oooh, nice! Looks like a perfect bathing spot for the garden fairies. I'm going to have to try nasturiums one of these days.

  7. Vertie,

Sorry I didn't get to visit with you over the weekend, but I'll chime in on your nasturtiums. Gorgeous. I think they appeal to my Pisces nature-- look like underwater mermaid plants.

This is the first year I've grown them from seed and the two plants that made it have flourished, been blooming like mad. They make wonderful, lasting cut flowers, and smell delicious too.

    Good wishes,
    Julie
